Tips for editing on your phone

If your phone is slow or gets hot, export in 720p: it is faster and looks fine on social media.
Keep free space: the finished video takes up room on the phone.
Do not close the tab or lock the screen while exporting: the video is being created on your phone.
To record your voice use earphones with a mic: it sounds clearer and without echo.
Your project saves itself; to continue on another device, upload it to your account (or download a .gcweb copy).

It needs an up-to-date browser; on very old phones it may be slow.
To download your videos you confirm your email once.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to download an app?

No. The editor works in your phone’s browser: Safari or Chrome on iPhone and Chrome on Android. Create your free account and edit right there, without taking up space with another app.

How do I save the video to my iPhone gallery?

When the export finishes tap “Share” and then “Save video”. It lands in Photos, ready for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or WhatsApp.

And on Android, where does the video go?

In the phone’s Downloads folder. From there you open it in your gallery or share it straight to any app.

Does it work on iPad and Android tablets?

Yes. On a tablet you have more room for the timeline and you can use your finger, a pencil or a keyboard with its shortcuts.

Why is the export slow on my phone?

The video is created on the phone itself, so it depends on its power. If it is slow or gets hot, export in 720p, close other apps and do not lock the screen until it finishes.
